Express is, without a doubt, my favorite place to shop! Why, you may ask? They’ve got so many different styles, from work to weekend, to looks for a night out, you can find an outfit for almost any occasion there. Because I’ve already got so much clothing from Express, I know what sizes I need, and that all their clothing is well made. If you’re not shopping an Express sale though, your tab can add up pretty quickly. As a rewards member, I know to save my points for one of their holiday sales to get the most bang for my buck. The Labor Day sale will probably start the Friday before the holiday, so I want to be ready with my wishlist because items tend to sell out quickly!
Things To Do Before The Express Sale
Sign-up for Express Next – In preparation for the sale, I would suggest first signing up to become an Express Next rewards member (it’s FREE). This will allow you to get emails when they have sales, and from there you can start racking up points to go towards rewards when you make purchases. There are also other ways to earn immediate points too, like signing up for text alerts, connecting your social media accounts, and leaving reviews! When you leave a review with a picture, you get 250 points! I try to do as many of those as possible so I get rewards more frequently. Also, you will want to keep an eye out for anything they may send you via snail mail or text, they send additional coupon codes that way and they can sometimes stack on top of a sale. For example, the sale may be 40% off everything in the store, and then you could add a coupon code for $15 off $30. The codes don’t always work during the sales but sometimes they do so it’s worth a shot to try.
Create Your Own Wishlist – I’m going to be sharing some of my favorite items that are currently in stock, but you should browse on your own and take note of any items you’ve been wanting to add to your wardrobe. I like to open a word document and copy and paste the links of the items I want so I have them all saved in the same place once the sale starts. Like I said, items tend to sell out quickly during an Express Sale, so if you decide you definitely want something, don’t wait.
On a side-note, Express does have some things that most likely won’t be a part of the sale. I recently noticed online that they sell Dolce Vita and Steve Madden accessories, these usually aren’t included in the sale along with any other shoes, bags, etc that aren’t made by Express.
Must-Have Items from the Express Sale
Without further ado, I’m going to share the items I already have that I love. I’ll save my wishlist for another post, because this one is getting long!
I’ve had these camo pants about six months and I’m still loving them! They will be great for fall and they actually go with so many different tops and sweaters. I highly recommend purchasing these if you’re as into camo as me! You can’t see it very well in these pictures but they’ve actually go adorable little zipper details on the bottom of the leg.
I had an overwhelmingly positive response when I first posted this striped colorful slouchy sweater on Instagram. Unfortunately, this color combo has already sold out, BUT the exact sweater is available in both white and black. I really like the oversized fit on this, and it is beyond comfortable! It’s also not very heavy contrary to how it looks on the model and me, which will be perfect when we get a little cool Florida breeze. I think the white or black version would be really cute with leggings, joggers, or jeans. Definitely very versatile!
Okay so with 40% off, this jacket is still going to be a bit pricey, BUTTTTT it’s the best jacket I own. I’ve personally had mine for several years and it has held up wonderfully. The fit is so feminine and if you live in Florida, it’s about the heaviest jacket you’ll ever need. I’ve found so many ways to wear it, in fact when I’m running out of the house quickly and it’s chilly, I know I can grab it because it goes with just about everything. Definitely worth the investment of $77 when it’s on sale. It comes in 10 other colors and I’m currently contemplating the gray one!
These are some other items I love! I don’t know if this helps, but I am 5’5 and around 130lbs right now. In skirts and pants I wear a size 6, and in tops, I will order a small if I want a tighter fit, and a medium if I want a more loose or oversized fit. Below are the current prices and what these items will probably be during the sale. I’m going to update you guys once the sale rolls out to see if there are any coupon codes that can stack!
Express Mid Rise Ripped Stretch Jean Leggings – Regularly $88 – Expected Sale Price – $52.80
(Minus The) Leather Moto Mini Skirt – Regularly $59.90 – Expected Sale Price – $35.94
Fitted Sweetheart Off Shoulder Top – Regularly $39.90 – Expected Sale Price – $23.94
I haven’t decided 100% yet what all I will be purchasing from the Express Sale but I do have a little wishlist put together and what I order will be based on how many rewards I’m able to use and if there are stackable coupons. If I have time to blog my wishlist I will do that next! Happy Shopping loves and as always thanks for stopping by <3! Oh by the way, if you order anything from express through the links above, I receive a small commission. If you’re interested in pieces from other retailers in outfits that aren’t linked above, you can always take a look at the Shop My Instagram page of the blog! I try to link every piece I can over there 🙂
