I don’t know about you all, but in summer I live in tees, shorts, sandals, and flowy dresses. It’s just too hot in Florida for much else! Going forward I’m going to try to do a weekly roundup of my favorite items to stay current on the blog and try to share more of my outfits too. Let’s start with the sandals.
Dolce Vita Slide Sandals
So I’m really having a love affair with Dolce Vita shoes right now. I ordered a pair of DV wedges a few weeks ago from DSW and they are my favorite shoes of the moment. I love so many of the styles they have out right now, and the two pairs above are some that I’d love to add to my closet. I don’t have any slide sandals in my wardrobe yet and I feel they have a dressier, more classy look than plain old flip-flops. Stay tuned to my Instagram to see if I end up purchasing them!
Summer Style Staples Jeans & Shorts
I have to admit, I don’t own the American Eagle tomgirl shorts I linked above, however, one of my favorite bloggers shared that they were one of the most popular purchases from her site in May. She swears by these shorts, and if I didn’t already have so many pairs of cut-offs already, I’d be snatching these up.
The jeans, on the other hand, I purchased in the store at Charlotte Russe and quickly fell in love with them! Definitely one of my favorite purchases this year. They are a cropped, destroyed, boyfriend fit jean. I have never had a true pair of boyfriend jeans because I never liked the loose fit on me. After I tried these on though, my mind was changed. Overall I’d say they are more of a “girlfriend” fit because they are a bit more fitted than a traditional boyfriend jean. After seeing the price tag was only $32.99 I was sold on them and I bet if you tried them on, you would be too! They fit true to size for a “girlfriend” style jean so they are a little baggy.
Warm Weather Tops
Y’all know I like my neutrals and my camo print! So the first two tops speak for themselves. A nice camo print boyfriend tee and a cute little black fitted surplice top. I threw in the white pom-pom top to trick you! I probably won’t order it because I don’t see myself wearing it more than once or twice but I do think it’s adorable and something that’s fun and flirty for summer.
Last up are the cami dresses! One is more flowy, while the other is more fitted. It’s really up to you on your style preference, but I usually opt for flowy everything because I value comfort and the ability to eat without a visible food baby! I really made an effort here to share summer style staples that were as affordable as possible and I’m going to keep doing that moving forward because we can’t all splurge all the time!
Additionally, in the act of being as transparent as possible with you guys, if you order anything through my links please know I receive a small commission from the influencer platform I partner with. All opinions are always my own and I only promote products I actually like and enjoy!
Thanks so much for stopping by and I look forward to seeing you back here soon!
