I’m making a conscious effort to write more blogs in the future. I really enjoy sharing my opinion with you guys, and it’s something that distracts me from food 😂. Last weekend I shared my favorite drug store beauty products and this week I want to share my favorite higher end products that I think are worth the added cost. Most of these are items I just can’t seem to find a comparable cheaper dupe for. Let me know if you know any!
Lorac Porefection Concealer
This concealer is awesome! It is very very opaque and gives excellent coverage. Shout out to my cousin Monica who introduced me to it last year at Ulta. You only need a tiny little drop of it for under your eyes, with this stuff a little bit goes a long way. The price tag is a bit much ($24) but one little tube of it lasted me almost a year with daily use. I recently lost the brand new one I purchased 🙁 I ended up getting the L’Oréal true match because it was cheaper and it’s okay, but not as good. I will be going back to this once I run out of that one.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Ash Brown
Wow, this stuff is awesome! It’s got great staying power and the color is perfect for me, as I don’t like my hair or brows to have any reddish undertones. Again with this stuff, as with most higher end cosmetics, a little bit goes a long way. Seriously I mean this!!! One dip of the brush too deep and your brows will be black! Which is fine for brunettes but for blondes, it’s way too much. Less is more! This will last me along time as well, so it’s not something I’m worried about spending $18 on!
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion
I’ve been using this stuff probably since high school! Like 10 years now wow! I can’t believe I’m getting so old. I’ve mentioned before I have oily skin, so using an eyeshadow primer is a must for me. It locks the shadow in place all day and it never creases! It’s awesome. This is also a product that will last me about a year so the $22 price tag works for me.
Tart Tartlette In Bloom Eyeshadow Palette
So there is one item of makeup I will never buy at a drugstore and that is eyeshadow. Drugstore eyeshadow just does not have enough pigment for me. I tend to do a smokey eye look almost daily and using a highly pigmented shadow is the key to getting in done much faster. With a drugstore brand layering and layering and layering a shadow takes forever. Time is money after all! The Tartlette in Bloom Palette is my favorite ever! First of all it smells like cake! So win-win right there. Then the colors are just beautiful and work really well at making blue eyes pop. I’ve had the palette for almost 2 years now and use it almost daily so it was well worth the investment. If you’re on the fence about getting this palette, DO IT! You will be so happy you did 🙂
Tarte Tartiest Lip Paint in Namaste
I’m mostly just a lip gloss kind of girl, but not too long ago, I discovered how awesome the staying power of liquid lipstick or in this case “lip paint” is. This color, Namaste, is the perfect shade of nude for me. It lasts hours and hours without budging. I would definitely recommend it!
Okay that’s all for today my friends! Enjoy the rest of your weekend! 🙂
